This pattern is called the Versatile Beret.
So here is the official pattern!!
Materials........
Size 5.5mm crochet hook.
Worsted Weight yarn. ( I used Red Heart Super Saver Solids in White)
Tapestry needle.
Scissors
(Note: I worked in joined rounds(vs. continuous rounds.)
Hat.
Ch 4
Rnd 1: 10dc into the last ch away from the hook. Join with a sl st. (10sts)
Rnd 2: ch 3. (2dc in every st around) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (20sts)
Rnd: 3: ch 3,( dc 1,2dc in next st.) Repeat around. Join with a sl st.(30sts)
Rnd 4: ch3,( dc2, 2dc in the next st.) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (40sts)
Rnd 5: ch3, (dc3, 2dc in the next st.) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (50sts)
Rnd 6: ch3,( dc4, 2dc in the next st.) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (60sts)
Rnd 7: ch3, (dc in every st.) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (60sts)
Rnd 8: ch 3, (dc in every st.) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (60sts)
Rnd 9: ch3,(tc in every st.) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (60sts)
Rnd 10: ch3, (dc in every st.) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (60sts)
Rnd 11: ch 3, (dc4, d2tog ) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (50sts)
Rnd 12: ch3, (dc3, d2tog) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (40sts)
Rnd 13: ch3, (dc in every st. ) Repeat around. Join with a sl st. (40sts)

Weave in loose ends.
